Search Your Photos by Description — Locally

Lap's local AI search lets you find photos the way you remember them — "sunset at the beach", "red bicycle", "grandma's birthday cake". The search model runs locally on your computer, so your photos are never analyzed in the cloud.

How it works

1. 1. Describe what you're looking for — Type "sunset at the beach" or "red bicycle" — search matches what's in the image, not the filename.
2. 2. Search runs locally — The AI model (CLIP) runs on your hardware via ONNX Runtime — nothing is uploaded.
3. 3. Combine with filters — Narrow by date or folder first, then search within the results for precision.
4. 4. Find similar shots — Use visual similarity to surface other photos from the same moment.
